HOW DID THE LOCKDOWNS AFFECT YOU?
The emotional toll .

The emotional toll on me, was massive! I certainly didn’t see the plandemic lockdowns coming, so Just two days before the first official lockdown in Victoria, my mother entered aged care. She suffered early onset dementia and needed 24 hour care which I was unable to provide due to my own health concerns. This decision was difficult enough, however, after only two days, I was not able to have any physical contact with my mother. No visits and phone calls were very limited. My mother was very confused and thought that I had ‘dumped’ her into care as I had not visited her. Knowing my mother thought this, resulted in extreme anguish for me. I suffered from headaches, nausea and a sense of doom. I so much wanted to hug her, hold her hand and reassure her and the lockdowns took all that away from us both! The lockdowns took valuable time from us both. Time that we could never make up! They created unnecessary anxiety, guilt and depression resulting in bouts of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, something I had never suffered from previously.
The Government stating that the plandemic would be a pandemic of the unvaccinated, was not helpful and has since been proven to be absolute rubbish. However, I
experienced a lot of abuse, was called a ‘granny killer’ and banned from the homes of my vaccinated friends. Just more and more unnecessary stress. I lost my volunteering job. One that I had enjoyed for 8 years! Losing this social contact, distressed me greatly. I’ve felt more and more isolated and I’ve completely lost my trust in the medical profession, the pharmaceutical companies and sadly, people in general. I also lost my mother, whose dementia increased rapidly following her Covid vaccines!
Being locked in my house during the lockdowns, made me feel like a ‘caged animal’. Having curfews imposed on me, I felt my loss of Freedom greatly! Having to line up at the supermarket reminded me of wartime – lining up for rations! It was inhumane!! Having to endure Dan’s ‘ring of steel’ around Melbourne also caused me stress. I had to exit the highway and be questioned by either a police officer or an army officer, as to my reason for travelling.
I live alone in a small rural town and quite a distance from my children. I missed my family immensely! I needed the physical contact of my children and grandchildren!

I feel that the past 3 years has taken so much from me. My joy, my independence, my fortitude and my sense of adventure.
