HOW DID THE LOCKDOWNS AFFECT YOU?
My 42 year old son died of stage four cancer
Loss of Loved One
My son died of stage four cancer that was curable if it had been diagnosed earlier. The doctor refused to see him face to face because he was scared of getting covid so with only phone consults the doctor couldn’t see his weight loss. I cared for my son as he died and we were denied palliative care services in the home because we were not vaccinated for covid. My son was not even provided adequate pain relief or relief of other symptoms during his last weeks. He died of cancer because the doctors were scared of catching a cold!
Loss of Health
I have multiple sclerosis and I haven’t seen my doctor face to face since 2020 because I can’t wear a mask (I have a medical exemption which my doctor gave me but which the doctors clinic won’t respect). I was restricted to my house with no support during lockdown. My services such as physio, and hydrotherapy were ceased and are only just recommencing this year. My health and mobility has declined as a result of all this.

Loss of a loved One…additional information
I also wanted to add that my son was diagnosed with stage four cancer in December 2021 after suffering kidney failure. At the time the South Australian government prevented all visitors to hospitals so our family were unable to be with him and he received the news that he had terminal, incurable cancer with no one there to comfort and support him. During this time he was exposed to “covid” by a fully vaccinated ICU nurse and was then subjected to regular PCR tests against his wishes. The family were prevented from seeing him.
